You need a myGov account to access your record. Anyone in Australia who has Medicare or an individual healthcare identifier (IHI) can use My Health Record. You can keep records like vaccinations, scripts and emergency contacts. Whats in My Medical Records Your medical records are in different places. My Health Record is a secure digital place to store your own health information. If you make a records request, your medical provider must share the info within 30 days. It is important to make sure any apps you use are secure so that your information is kept private. You have the right to view your medical records at any time. You can also use it to indicate if you're registered to be organ donor. If you change your mind and want to share your health information, you’ll need to submit VA Form 10-10163 (Request for and Permission to Participate in Sharing Protected Health Information). Having a central record like this can help providers give the best care. Medical ID can display medical conditions, allergies, medications, blood type and emergency contacts.
